While recording this song in 2006 at a KC-metro studio a well-known rapper happened to arrive early for his session and listened to mine. As I wrapped up and started to leave the studio, the rapper approached me and said of Bored Room Blues: "A great hook, man. Great hook." I loved hearing that, appreciated receiving that immediate feedback from someone who knows music.
